Starcraft 2 Zerg Guide - How to Stop the Reaper Rush

Comments (0)

Every time you play against Terran you must be ready for the dreaded reaper rush. The reaper rush is being used like crazy on battlenet right and for good reason because most Zerg players have no idea how to defend against it. This guide will show you how to beat a reaper rush without any trouble.

The worst thing you can do is build some spine crawlers as the Terran player will just have his reapers run just out of range and pick off your drones and buildings. The key to beating a reaper rush is the speed upgrade for zerglings. The first thing you should do when you get 100 gas is start the speed upgrade at the spawning pool and then pump out a few zerglings. The reapers will come just in time to get run over by your speed upgraded zerglings. Make sure you chase the reapers until you kill them all as you will be faster and able to run them all down. You can also go straight to roaches but they are not as effective because they are slower then zerglings and roaches are very bad against marauders so that will not be good for you as the game progresses.

I would also recommend getting anti air as soon as you can because many Terran players like you harass you with reapers while they are teching to banshees and will attack your workers as soon as they get one. Get a few corruptors and stay away from mutalisks as marines make short work of a group of mutalisks. Take your corruptors and scout the Terran base to see if he is getting air or going ground. If you use these tactics you will no longer have to fear the dreaded reaper rush but instead invite it.

Becoming an advanced Starcraft 2 player is very challenging and confusing. I purchased the Starcraft 2 Advanced Strategy Guide from Star2Pros.com and I have been very impressed with the strategies they teach. I would highly recommend it to any Starcraft 2 player who wants to get to the top of the Diamond Ladders, I think this guide might be the only one of its kind.

Anyways, good luck to all of you and I hope to see you on BattleNet!
