Starcraft 2 Zerg Guide - How to Stop the Zealot Rush

Every time you play against Protoss you must be ready for the dreaded zealot rush. The zealot rush is being used like crazy on battlenet right and for good reason because most Zerg players have no idea how to defend against it. This guide will show you how to beat a zealot rush without any trouble.

The worst thing you can do is build some spine crawlers as the Protoss player will just run right by them and kill as many drones as he can. The key to beating a zealot rush is a lot of roaches. The first thing you should do after you build the spawning pool is build a roach warren and start pumping out roaches. The zealots will come just in time to get run over by your roach army. Make sure you chase the zealots until you kill them all as you will be faster and able to run them all down. Roaches are a good unit to use when playing against protoss because they do high damage and they are very cheap. However, they do very poorly against immortals because they are armored and the immortal does huge bonus damage against armored units. So if you see the Protoss player making immortals start pumping out some zerglings to handle them.

I would also recommend getting anti air as soon as you can because many Protoss players like you harass you with zealots while they are teching to void rays and will attack your base as soon as they get a few. Get a few corruptors and stay away from mutalisks as salkers make short work of a group of mutalisks. Take your corruptors and scout the Protoss base to see if he is getting air or going ground. If you use these tactics you will no longer have to fear the dreaded zealot rush but instead invite it.

Becoming an advanced Starcraft 2 player is very challenging and confusing. I purchased the Starcraft 2 Advanced Strategy Guide from Star2Pros.com and I have been very impressed with the strategies they teach. I would highly recommend it to any Starcraft 2 player who wants to get to the top of the Diamond Ladders, I think this guide might be the only one of its kind.

Anyways, good luck to all of you and I hope to see you on BattleNet!
