The Zerg economy is pretty different then the Terran and Protoss economies and a good Zerg player will use this to his advantage. Terran and Protoss are generally a little stronger at teching up then we are so we have to find another way to get the advantage. This guide will show you the basics of mastering the Zerg economy.

The first thing we need to realize is that the only way to keep up with a strong Protoss or Terran player is to have a larger mineral and gas intake then they do because our units will not be able to stand toe to toe with them so we must out produce our opponents. StarCraft 2 gives us some advantages in this area and makes it easier for us to expand. The hatchery only costs 300 minerals where with Protoss and Terran it costs 400 minerals to expand. Also, we make all our units at the hatchery so there is no need to build a bunch of new barracks or gateways like our enemy will have to when they expand.

I recommend expanding very early on in the game when you are just starting to build a few zerglings. You should have some extra minerals at this point and you can either use them to upgrade to a lair or expand. In some cases it would be wiser to upgrade to a lair if you need to get some anti air quickly or you are doing a muta rush but most of the time I would not recommend a fast upgrade. Again the key to winning as a Zerg player is out producing our enemy, which means we must expand fast and often while at the same time keeping our opponent from expanding. If you can master this part of the Zerg game then the rest is easy.

Becoming an advanced Starcraft 2 player is very challenging and confusing. StarCraft 2 - Protoss Basic Build Order

Playing as Protoss is a lot of fun but it can be very frustrating if you don't know the correct starting build order. This guide will show you how to start the game off with the perfect build order for Protoss.

You start with 6 probes so get them to work mining the minerals right away. Build probes until the 9th one pops out. Take the 9th probe and start a pylon then send him to mine the minerals. Continue making probes until you hit 12 and then start a gateway. You may also start an extractor now if you want. You should have about 16 probes when the gateway finishes so start making a zealot and build another pylon.

You will also want to start a cybernetics core so you can make stalkers. After this a continue making probes and then build a second extractor and gateway. From this point it is up to you what you want to do. When I play against Zerg I would make build a few sentries so I can block the zerglings from running into my base and killing the probes. If I'm playing against Terran I would expand and try to harass them a little with my zealots and stalkers.

I would recommend getting a robotics facility as soon as you can though for a couple of reasons. First, I like to get an observer so I can see what my enemy is doing and second you will most likely need to build either colossus or immortals depending on what your opponent is building. Build a colossus if he is massing smaller units, build an immortal if he is using bigger units such as thors and tanks or hydralisks and roaches. If follow this guild then you should have a great start to any game and be ready for just about anything.
